Concept of Digital Citizenship
Digital Citizenship means knowing and understanding digital rights and responsibilities. It is also about promoting digital literacy which is very important to understand. It is also about respecting others while we are digitally active. Moreover, it's about using the technology responsibly.
Mainly when we talk about Digital Citizenship we need to remember the 9 elements of Digital Citizenship which are as follows;
1. Digital Access Digital Access: Ensuring everyone has equal opportunities to access technology and the internet.
2. Digital Commerce: Understanding how to safely and responsibly engage in online transactions.
3. Digital Communication: Using appropriate and respectful communication online.
4. Digital Literacy: Developing the skills to critically evaluate information found online.
5. Digital Etiquette: Practicing good manners and behavior in digital interactions.
6. Digital Law: Understanding and following the laws that govern online behavior.
7. Digital Rights and Responsibilities: Knowing and exercising your rights while also respecting the rights of others online.
8. Digital Health and Wellness: Managing screen time and balancing online activities with offline life.
9. Digital Security: Protecting personal information and devices from online threats.
The roles of teachers in digital citizenship are;

- Creating positive digital Cultures.
What Digital Rights and Responsibilities you as a teacher should carry out in society, community and the world?
We as a teacher should carry out the following roles in a society, community and the world.
